About the studio

How we landed here

Nephilimrivo opened in 2019 at Overtoom 289 in Amsterdam. We wanted a ground where bands can set up quickly and vocalists can breathe between takes. Trams and shops sit outside; inside you mostly hear the music.

Rooms

Live room (42 m²)

Drums, bass amp and guitars together with sight lines to the desk. Treatment suits rock, pop and jazz-oriented setups.

Iso booths (2)

Separate booths for lead, backing or voice-over with glass to the control room for direction.

Control room

Hybrid desk, 4 nearfield pairs and a fixed spot for laptop/DAW. Attended mixes and master checks happen here.

How sessions run

We book in blocks so setup and soundcheck do not eat recording time. Studio director Charlotte de Vries coordinates larger projects; day-to-day sessions are shared across the team. Whoever reads your email can also greet you at the desk.

Mix and master do not always need you in the room: send stems, we deliver per quote with up to 2 revision rounds as set out in terms and conditions.

Getting here

Overtoom 289, 1054 SG Amsterdam (Oud-West). The studio is on Overtoom in Oud-West. Tram 1 stops at Overtoom (Overtoom / Vondelpark); from there it is about a six-minute walk. You can park bicycles at the entrance; cars use paid street parking or Q-Park Byzantium on Vondelstraat, roughly a ten-minute walk.
